Case Overview

  • Name: Chris Metallic
  • Date of Birth: August 27th, 1991
  • Missing Since: November 25th, 2012
  • Missing From: Sackville, New Brunswick
  • Eyes: Brown
  • Hair: Black
  • Height: 5'8“ (173 cm)
  • Weight: 160 lbs (73 kg)
  • Other Names/Aliases: Unknown

A Quote from Chris' Mom:

“Chris and his friends went to a house party, had a lot to drink and from what I was told by his friends, they helped him to bed in one of the rooms there to sleep it off. Chris took his sneakers and glasses off and put his phone down. Sometime after he passed out, he got up again (didn't put his shoes or glasses back on and left his phone) and continued hanging out with his friends during the party. Then ended up outside with one of his friends and they went to another house the next street over. I was told that Chris got sick over there too and then wanted to go home and his friend said he wanted to go back to the party. Chris was so intoxicated that he didn't realize he left his shoes at the party so his friend loan him a pair of flip flops to walk home and said he'll find his shoes the next day.”

Theories into his disappearance

  • Accidental Drowning: One theory suggests that Chris might have accidentally drowned. It is speculated that he could have walked over a body of water with weak ice, which gave way, leading to drowning. This theory is based on the fact that he was reportedly intoxicated and the presence of bodies of water near the area where he was last seen 7.
  • Foul Play: While the RCMP has stated that foul play is not suspected, some community members and online discussions have speculated about the possibility of foul play due to the mysterious nature of his disappearance 2.
  • Voluntary Disappearance: There have been suggestions that Chris might have chosen to disappear voluntarily. However, this is considered unlikely by those who knew him well, as his disappearance is described as out of character 1.
  • Misadventure: Another theory involves the possibility of a misadventure due to his intoxicated state. It is speculated that he might have wandered off and encountered an accident or got lost in the wooded areas near where he was last seen 7.
  • Connection to Other Cases: Some discussions have drawn parallels between Chris's disappearance and other missing persons cases, suggesting potential patterns or connections. However, there is no concrete evidence to support these claims 7.
